Fix It Fridays #83

January 24, 2011

Fix-It Friday #83
SOOC

Such a fun image!  I love me a good fisheye shot.  I just wish I had a fisheye :(

After

Let’s see if I can remember what I did:  I put a vintage-y texture on it, then I brought out his face a little because it got lost after the texture.  Then I brightened his shoes up a little too because they seemed to be so much a part of his personality.  Then I may have sharpened a bit to make it crispy.  That’s it.

Check out more here!

I wish I had a fish eye lens, too! It was a fun shot, and I like your take on it! Love how you brought it more into focus, sharpening, and brightening it up … great job! You have some beautiful images, here, yourself! I love looking at all these edits, and getting to know others, and seeing their work … that’s the fun part! You have a great week! :)

Custom Cover Session Album | Riverview Family Photography

January 20, 2011

I wanted you all to get a little taste of what a Session Album is.  And since one of my clients just ordered one, I took the opportunity to snap a few photos so you can get an example of what one looks like.

The feel of the album is smooth and luxurious like a brand spankin' new pair of shoes! Well, it does have a nice, soft feel to it.

If this one were mine, I’d carry it around in special bag so I don’t get any scratches or dents on it!  But I remember how much time and effort went into this baby.  Just beautiful!

The hinge doesn't get in the way of the image that will be your "custom" cover.

The inside of the album. This one in particular had about 20 pages front and back. Just gorgeous!

I just love these albums. It's a precious way to keepsake your memories. Oh, and to show them off!

I offer Custom Cover Session Albums in a 10×10.  I own one of these myself and I just adore my images kept in an album like this.  No sticky pages, no plastic page to cover my picture.  No glare!  Just my special memories, virtually a 10×10 picture, in a book!  Eeee, so sweet!

Like what you see?  Contact me for my Already Discounted A La Carte Prices.  *Discounted 50% because I’m portfolio building :)  Want to book a session?  Give me a call or email me!  You know what to do!

Walker and Christy | Valrico, FL Pet Photography

January 10, 2011

Christy contacted me back in early December and we planned to have her session a couple of weeks later.  Well, we ended up having to reschedule due to cold, wet and balmy weather.  No good since our session was mainly to represent her sweet son/dog Walker.  We did manage to get a few indoor shots a week later and you can check them out here.

And so finally, this weekend we had a big chance to get our outdoor session.  And just look at these awesome shots:

Uhhhh, who can resist a puppy with his head out the window? I know there's always a smile on this girl's face when I see one! Especially like the one I saw over the Christmas break...the dog was wearing shades! I laughed the rest of the way home!

Christy has got the most beautiful eyes!  You can tell a lot by a person’s eyes.  Like how much Walker means to her:

Here’s a collage of how much fun we had:And here’s a small collage.  I put this one together because there were a few shots that made Walker look like a new puppy.  Maybe it was the angle, maybe it was because we really tired him out!  See?  It’s gotta be his sweet little personality!  What a doll!

I had so much fun with Christy and Walker!  It was definitely my pleasure to work you two!  Your Gallery to be up soon!

Total Lunar Eclipse | December 21, 2010

December 21, 2010

Yup.  I. Got. Up. At. 2-freakin’-thirty. To. Capture. These.  (Yawn)

The moon around 10 pm.

And of course, right about 2:45 a.m.

Good thing I won’t have to do that again for another 800 or so years!

Walker | Brandon Pet Photography

December 21, 2010

After rescheduling just once, I didn’t want to reschedule again.  It wasn’t actually raining this past Sunday.  It was just really gloomy and threatened to rain.  So I asked Christy if she’d like to do a few indoor shots and then we’d resume our session after the holidays in hopes of sunnier weather.  Of course she said yes and just look at this sweet, sweet pup!

Check out the smile on Mr. Walker!  Christy had told him all day that I’d be coming over to play and he definitely was ready for me!  Can you feel how happy he was?  I still can feel it!

And after trying to get Walker to pose for us, I came across some paws.  Some sweet, sweet paws!  I knew this one was a keeper after I snapped it.  Had to show Christy and I may have spotted a tear with that one!  LOL!

So I leave with these as just a tease.  More to come after the holidays!

I Heart Faces | Fix It Fridays #80

December 13, 2010

I had to cancel my session today on account of the rain.  So instead I leave you with something that I haven’t done in WEEKS!  I miss these:

Here is the Before: An awesome image to begin with!

And here is my after: Made it a little softer, sharpened and brightened up their faces and put a teeny tiny bit of texture on the image.

Oh, and I cropped in a bit to see these girls’ gorgeous faces!

The “G” Family | Riverview, FL Family Photography

December 6, 2010

These two were so much fun!  Anne is actually my neighbor from across the street.  I knew this day was going to be fun but I had no idea what was in store for me!

Mr. N being silly with his Mom's hair...

Whatever this is...

And brilliant faces like these!

But in the end, these two have the most adorable relationship!

I mean, who wouldn’t wanna give this face a squeeze?

His Mom!  That’s who!  I just have to show this one again.  It’s my favorite!

I’m getting a little bit braver with the textures.  They’re fun to add for a little dimension to the image.

After. I love the darling expression on the baby's face. I can think of a million things that may be going through Daddy's head because we've been there and it's tough. But we couldn't be more proud of them.

September 11, 2010 | Buzz, Woody & Friends | Brandon, FL Children’s Photographer

September 20, 2010

Every year I write a whole schpeil on how September 11 is a day of great tragedy for our beautiful country and how my baby’s birthday turned it all around for us.  Well folks, this year ain’t gonna be any different.  Nine years ago on the 11th of September, our country was rocked and was sent into a raging war against terrorism and I couldn’t be more proud of my United States Air Force husband and his comrades and all of the Armed Forces of the United States.  Four years ago on this very same day at 0800 in the morning,  my little boy was welcomed to the world.

Obviously not winning the war against his first bath. Ya know, to this day he hates a bath.

God, I love that baby!  As terrified as I was about being a new Mommy, I loved him as a baby so so much.  Brings back some warm memories for me.

And now look at the Turd. I still try to hold him in my arms like when he was a newborn but his legs get in the way and the amount of kisses is much much less than when he was a baby. Why God, Why?

There’s his traditional iron-on transfer t-shirt that I make him every year.  One day I will gather ever year’s pic of the iron-on tee and you’ll understand that I am a geek.

We’ve known he was going to have a Toy Story birthday party for like 11 months.  I was prepared.  Sort of.

Don't even ask me if I made that cake. You should know better than that. Good 'ol Walmart. A girl's best friend.

It was really yummy!  But 2 things: 1. Waaaaay too much frosting and 2. Waaaaay too expensive.  But they didn’t have enough chocolate so they made it with marble.  They gave me a nice discount, so I didn’t complain.  And it seems to me that I asked for butter cream frosting because my boys love it(I hate frosting) and I didn’t get that either.  Humph!  That damn cake should’ve been free!  But whatever, my little Buggie was so dang excited.  The cake could have been made with potting soil and shaving cream and he would’ve been pumped anyway.
